Terms of service
Last updated
You can use GravitySEO for free to track your own sites' Google rankings and research keywords, as long as you only connect Google accounts and sites you are allowed to use. Our numbers are estimates, not guarantees, and you can delete your account at any time.
These terms are the agreement between you and GravitySEO for using GravitySEO. Please read them with our Privacy policy.
1. Agreement to these terms
By creating an account or using GravitySEO, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use GravitySEO.
GravitySEO is run by GravitySEO ("we", "us"). If you use GravitySEO on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation.
2. What the service does
GravitySEO shows how your sites rank in Google, using your Google Search Console data, and suggests content to write, using keyword data from Google Ads Keyword Planner, Google Autocomplete and AI analysis.
GravitySEO is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance and never charge you without your explicit agreement. We are actively developing GravitySEO, so features may be added, changed or removed over time.
3. Your account
You need a Google account to use GravitySEO, and you must be at least 16 years old.
- Keep your Google account secure; anything done through your GravitySEO account is your responsibility.
- One person per account. Don't share your account or sign in as someone else.
- Tell us at maxwinterleinweber@gmail.com straight away if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
4. Connecting Google services
You choose which Google services to connect, you can disconnect them at any time, and you remain bound by Google's own terms for them.
Search Console
Connecting Search Console gives GravitySEO read-only access to the properties your Google account can see. Only connect a Google account whose Search Console data you are allowed to use, and only research properties you own or are authorised to analyse. GravitySEO cannot change anything in Search Console.
Google Ads
Keyword Planner runs under our own Google Ads account unless you choose to connect yours. If you connect a Google Ads account, you authorise GravitySEO to list the accounts you can access and to request Keyword Planner ideas and historical search metrics under the account you pick. GravitySEO does not create or change campaigns, ads, budgets, bids or billing, and does not spend money in your account. Only connect an account you are authorised to use for keyword planning.
Revoking access
You can revoke GravitySEO's access from your Google account's third-party connections at any time, or delete your GravitySEO account, which revokes it for you. How we handle Google user data, including our commitment to Google's Limited Use requirements, is set out in our Privacy policy.
5. Your data
You own your data. You give us permission to process it only to run GravitySEO for you.
"Your data" is what you enter (product descriptions, seed keywords, competitor domains) and what we read from your connected Google accounts. You grant GravitySEO a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and transmit it, including to the service providers named in the Privacy policy, solely to provide and improve the features you use. You confirm you have the right to give us this data.
6. Keyword data, AI output and results
Everything GravitySEO shows is an estimate to help you decide what to work on, not a promise of rankings, traffic or revenue.
- Search volumes come from Google Ads Keyword Planner and are rounded estimates; accounts without ad spend may see coarser ranges.
- Difficulty is based on Keyword Planner's advertiser competition index, which measures paid competition rather than how hard it is to rank organically.
- Search Console data runs about two days behind and Google leaves out rare queries for privacy, so reports don't add up to your totals.
- Topic groups, product fit ratings, page matches and form suggestions are produced by AI and can be incomplete or wrong. Check them before acting on them.
Search rankings depend on Google and many factors outside our control. You are responsible for the content you publish and the decisions you make using GravitySEO.
7. Acceptable use
Use GravitySEO lawfully and only for your own research. You must not:
- access or analyse Search Console properties or Google Ads accounts you are not authorised to use;
- use "Fill from URL" or any other feature to fetch pages in a way that harms or overloads other sites, or to reach private networks;
- extract, resell, sublicense or redistribute keyword data or other Google data from GravitySEO in bulk, or use GravitySEO to build a competing data product;
- scrape, automate or overload GravitySEO, or get around its limits or security;
- reverse engineer GravitySEO, except where the law allows it;
- upload unlawful content, or content that infringes someone else's rights;
- use GravitySEO in breach of Google's or any other provider's terms.
8. Third-party services
GravitySEO depends on services we don't control: Google (sign-in, Search Console, Google Ads and Autocomplete), OpenAI, Neon and Vercel. Their availability, limits and terms can change, and when one is down or withdraws access, the features that rely on it may stop working. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of Google services is also governed by Google's Terms of Service.
9. Our intellectual property
GravitySEO, including its software, design, name and logo, belongs to GravitySEO. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use GravitySEO while your account is active; they don't transfer any ownership. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using GravitySEO and delete your account at any time in Settings, which deletes your data as described in the Privacy policy.
We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if required by law, or to protect GravitySEO, its users or Google's services. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you the chance to fix the problem. We may also discontinue GravitySEO; if we do, we will give you reasonable notice.
11. Disclaimers
GravitySEO is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that GravitySEO will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, or that its data and estimates are accurate or complete.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, GravitySEO is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, traffic, rankings or data, arising from your use of GravitySEO. Our total liability for any claim relating to GravitySEO is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
13. Responsibility for misuse
If you use GravitySEO in breach of these terms or the law, for example by accessing Google data you are not authorised to use, you are responsible for the claims and costs that result, and you agree to cover GravitySEO's reasonable costs of dealing with them, to the extent the law allows.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as GravitySEO changes. We will update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using GravitySEO after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
15. General
These terms, together with the Privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and GravitySEO about GravitySEO. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part straight away doesn't mean we give up the right to. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours to a successor running GravitySEO.
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where GravitySEO is established, and disputes go to its courts, except where the law of the country you live in gives you, as a consumer, the right to use its laws or courts.
